Operation: DIY Add Video

Students used knowledge of simple and parallel circuits and insulators and conductors to build their own working Operation style boardgames out of some easy to find materials. I printed out some various suitable character images like a Lego minifigure, robots, Robocop, etc. Each student was urged to bring his or her choice of character (preferably on heavyweight paper), tweezers, aluminum foil sheets, and box platform. Students could also bring in components such as buzzers and LED lights. I supplied wires, regular lights, machine screws, nuts, washers, and foil. Students wired up the system using a blueprint and their own guess and test methods. The exit exam was a gameday, in which the game had to work using cards and money that the students made. They had to finish one full game.
